Biography

Miley Ray Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee and was named Destiny Hope Cyrus. She grew up on her parents farm and one of her first big roles in acting was in 2003 when she played “Young Ruthie” in the movie Big Fish. Miley auditioned for Hannah Montana when she was 12 and eventually won the role after many more auditions. The show first premiered on March 24 of 2006 (in the US). The show quickly became popular and catipulted Miley into fame. Since Hannah Montana began in 2006, Miley has released several solo albums, written a book, and starred in movies. Her Most recent movie was the The Last Song and was released in theaters on March 31 of 2010. Miley is working on a new album and plans to focus on movies once it is released.
